From laboratory demonstrations to real-world applications
PolariQ is a Swedish SME based in Stockholm, developing advanced polarization characterization and control tools for photonic and quantum technologies.
Emerging from research at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, we design next-generation instruments that bring precision, automation, and scalability to polarization measurement—from classical optics to quantum communication.
Our technology bridges science and industry—delivering tools that transform how researchers measure, analyze, and control the polarization of light at the single-photon level. With PolariQ's platform, laboratories can accelerate discovery and seamlessly transition from experimental setups to deployed quantum communication and sensing systems.
To empower the global quantum and photonics community with the most efficient and precise polarization analysis tools—enabling reliable, automated, and scalable measurements from classical optics to entangled quantum systems. We aim to simplify complex quantum measurements, so scientists and engineers can focus on innovation, not configuration.
Enables complete reconstruction of single- and multi-photon entangled states through Fourier-transform–based analysis, providing fast, scalable, and resource-efficient quantum state characterization.
Performs high-precision measurements of the state of polarization and Stokes parameters of collimated light.
Employs PID-based feedback algorithms to dynamically optimize polarization states and maximize the efficiency and sensitivity of superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) or other polarization-dependent devices.
PolariQ's R&D builds on a long-standing research foundation at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and international collaborations with NTU Singapore and other leading quantum research centers.
